A Year of Unprecedented Growth

2022 was a truly prolific year for TLJ! From achieving record sales volumes to welcoming key members of our team and proudly entering important new overseas markets; we continue to grow as never before.

We are excited to share some of the major achievements of 2022:

Record Breaking Turnover

It will come as no surprise to many that TLJ has achieved an astonishing 33% year-on-year increase in turnover. Thanks to our expanding team, new technical innovations and an ever in increasing range of integration partners, we have been able to provide more access control solutions globally than ever before.

This is a trend we are perfectly placed to build upon in 2023. Our increased turnover has been ploughed back into every aspect of the business and will positively impact our product and service offering as it evolves throughout the year.

None of this would be possible, of course, without our people and the fantastic customers whom we serve.

The TLJ Family Grows

New Hires
  • Jennefer Bruce - Business Development Manager (Leisure and Hospitality)
  • Ed Rushen - Key Account Manager

Our new team members have already had a huge impact on the business and have been benefiting our customers from day one. Jennefer has been making new friends and re-establishing relationships in the Holiday Park and Leisure sector, travelling with her trusty RezLok and spreading the word of TLJ's award-winning access control solutions. In the meantime, Ed has taken on the responsibility of looking after our larger clients with multiple sites, managing their current requirements and planning future access control needs.

Apprentices

TLJ have a long history of supporting apprentices; we believe in nurturing enthusiasm and talent. These young, passionate apprentices have become valued members of the TLJ team and we look forward to supporting them further.

  • Luke Suter - ICT Support Technician (Completed)
  • Harvey Taylor - Business Administration (Completed)
  • Josh Allard - Digital Marketing (Ongoing)

We're delighted that Luke and Harvey have now been employed full time by TLJ, testament to their hard work and commitment. It has been an honour providing them with the support they needed to grow and become such important members of the team.

New Partnerships & New Territories

We were busy paving new roads through co-operation in 2022:

Encom and Electro Automation are our friends in Ireland, providing us with installation services

SmartRent are our 'Internet of Things' (IoT) integration partners. Our revolutionary, wireless Zpad device acts as a real-time interface connecting TLJ electronic smart locks, using Z-wave technology, to SmartRent's digital ecosystem. This integration has helped us access the growing Single Family Rental property market

Eurofesa are our road into Spain, further expanding the European reach of TLJ. Discussions are ongoing with a new partner in Italy

We completed work on POHA House in Münster, Germany. Our first major integration with Spike Global, who provided the resident engagement app which includes our smart locking functionality

BH&HPA and Hoseasons are our prestigious new Holiday Park partners, helping us spread awareness to park owners and operators that we are the best choice for park-wide access management solutions

ABI and Victory Leisure Homes are our approved caravan installers, which means our electronic smart locks can be pre-fitted on units prior to delivery to site. This allows units to be commissioned and brought on stream quicker and more efficiently than ever before

Packaged Living and Dandara are property developers with whom we have signed sole-supplier framework agreements. Several more are in the pipeline for 2023

Personal Growth

Our people are what make TLJ the success we are, and we take pride in their accomplishments as individuals. This team has faced multitudes of hardships, blessings and growing opportunities this year - it has strengthened us and made us wiser, more resilient and better equipped to face the challenges of 2023.

ESG Efforts

We've made large strides in improving our already 14001:2015 certified sustainability and environmental impact this year, and plan to make sustainability a core focus of the business in 2023. We have already incorporated fully electric and hybrid vehicles into our company fleet, introduced key cards made from renewable materials, and recycle all our packaging on-site. Probably the biggest impact, however, is our championing of Mobile Keys: digital access credentials via smartphone which remove the need for physical keys all together.
