The Christopher Hotel, Eton and the Royal Adelaide, Windsor benefit from TLJ contactless electronic locks with smartphone integration
A former Coaching Inn dating back to 1711, the Christopher Hotel is situated in the heart of Eton and surrounded by antique shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants. It’s also the closest hotel to the world famous Eton College.
TLJ installed 37 Infinity contactless electronic locks on all guest rooms at the Christopher, fully compatible with TLJ’s Mobile Keys system. This allows guests to securely access their room using only a smartphone app. Not only is this hugely convenient for both the guest and front-of-house staff, the complete absence of traditional physical key cards also supports the hotel’s COVID-19 prevention measures.
The owner of the Christopher Hotel is a returning TLJ customer: we supplied and installed smartphone-compatible locks at their sister site, The Royal Adelaide Hotel in Windsor, back in 2019. To create a truly integrated system, they decided to opt for the Mobile Keys upgrade at the Royal Adelaide too. This allows both hotels to be run from the same TLJ software, meaning guest keys can be issued for either site at the click of a mouse.
The work carried out at the Christopher and the Royal Adelaide is a great demonstration of TLJ’s agility. Not only are we across major projects in the Multifamily BTR, PBSA and Hospitality sectors, we have the flexibility to help small, independent hoteliers by devising effective, small scale, targeted solutions.
We had TLJ locks fitted at the Royal Adelaide in 2019 and have been more than happy with them. So much so, infact, that we recently upgraded the Royal Adelaide to TLJ’s smartphone key option. It ticked all the boxes for us; not only was it convenient and removed the problem of lost keys, it also helped support our anti-COVID measures.
So when it came to choose a system for The Christopher it seemed natural to go back to TLJ. We’ve once again gone for the smartphone option, which we’re really impressed with. It’s an excellent system, and the installation and training we received were greet too.
