TLJ make a return to London's Business Design Centre for the UKAA BTR Expo 2022
Last held at the start 2020, this year's UKAA Expo proved to be the biggest dedicated BTR event ever held in the UK and a celebration of live events in general. We believe the Expo has become a cornerstone of the BTR sector, and can only grow in success and magnitude as the sector itself grows.
TLJ Access Control have again partnered up with a carefully selected panel of like-minded providers to offer a tailored end-to-end solution for smart building investors, developers, operators and users. We shared a stand with SmartRent (IoT device integration, including TLJ smart locks); Parcel Pending by Quadient (smart lockers and mail solutions) and Wifinity (digital infrastructure and WiFi).
Exhibiting like this was not only visually appealing (we had the largest stand in the venue) but enabled us to demonstrate our seamless integrations across multiple functions in a BTR property.
As the Expo came to a close, we had the bittersweet experience of saying goodbye to long-term CEO David Butler. All attendees were invited to raise a glass from the drinks reception to appreciate Dave’s contribution to the BTR sector, and the work he has done with the UKAA over the years towards making BTR in the UK the success it is today.
David said in his closing speech:
In thinking about what’s been special about my time at the UKAA. I keep coming back to the warmth of the welcome shown to me and the openness of members to new ideas and sharing knowledge. I really hope that I have been able to replicate this warmth and openness within the UKAA and foster them as key values in our behaviour. I am certain that benchmarks will emerge and the UKAA will be central to them, even if this takes longer than any of us believe that it should.
