Located within a few minutes walk of Lewisham station and running alongside the Ravensbourne River is the stylish Bale and Anchor development. Making a statement on the skyline of the South London Borough the properties provide high quality, convenient and community focused rental accommodation right where it is needed.

The development is part of Legal and General’s Urban BTR portfolio and reflects their commitment to provide quality rental opportunities for the modern resident, offering ease of living through fantastic amenities, residents’ services and quality, crafted design.

The UK’s leading residential for rent developer and operator, Watkin Jones were the main contractor for the development and they have created and provide , build the homes of the future, delivering long-term value for residents, investors and communities.

Anchor House consists of two cores, with core A having eight floors, featuring a snug and outdoor terrace which links to the 13 floors of accommodation in core B.

The two cores are joined at ground level by a relaxing lounge space with easy access to essential amenities such as cycle storage, mail boxes, bin storage and parking.

New for 2024 is Bale House which is a 35 storey building just a stone’s throw from the Anchor. This building will feature even more resident amenities with a cinema room, co-working spaces, gym, library and on the 34th and 35th floors a resident club called Ampersand featuring excellent views of the city’s skyline from the roof terrace.

Inline with the modern look and feel of the buildings TLJ have supplied their design led electronic lock solution, the Invisible. With the Invisible lock all the essential parts of the lock mechanism are housed within the door itself, only the lever, cylinder escutcheon and LED indicator are visible to the user.

By choosing this model it has allowed the developers to match their levers to fit with the rest of the build and provide a modern and elegant look to compliment their interiors perfectly.

Across the two buildings, TLJ have installed Invisible lock sets for all apartment doors, along with Comelit Intercom systems and access control readers on communal doors. The internal fire rated doorsets were supplied by Doorpac whom TLJ have worked with on many successful projects.

The development has been ranked 1st out of 15 BTR properties in the Borough of Lewisham on HomeViews which is a fantastic achievement and is testament to the hard work put in by all parties in bringing this project to fruition.

“I have worked with TLJ Access Control for over a decade and the service we receive is always excellent.
Although the company has grown significantly in that time they have maintained the personal touch.
All we need to do is pick up the phone and they are ready to assist in any way that they can.”

Dan Owen, Project Manager for Watkin Jones.
